AID OF ROYAL NORWEGIAN EMBASSY IN SERBIA AND GROUP 484
Project “Solidarity Network – Second Year”
The objective of the Project is to establish services for support and protection of refugees and migrants in the Republic of Serbia and Republic of Macedonia, and to enhance coordination and cooperation between agencies and institutions of the public/state sector and organisations which provide aid.
The strengthening of social infrastructure in municipalities Šid and Sombor is planned within this Project, in the amount of RSD 29,827,500.00 (with VAT).
The funds are earmarked for the facility reconstruction of primary schools “Ivo Lola Ribar” in settlement Šikara near Sombor, and “Sremski front” in settlement Molovin, as well as for the public lighting of the railway crossing in settlement Vašica near Šid. The schools which will be reconstructed are a few kilometres away from migrant reception centres, and migrant children from families staying longer in these municipalities are expected to enrol in them next year.
